It's very sad that this type of event occurs anywhere on the planet. It becomes more scary when it happens in your own country. I think we get desensitized sometimes watching CNN when events like this happen in other parts of the world.

I agree being Canadian. I would be curious what Americans think about this happening in Canada, do you get that news? What are your thoughts on it?

That would interesting to know. I first became aware of the event this morning on CBS news. I also saw something that Donald Trump called Justin Trudeau to offer his condolences.

I think there was some confusion around the event, who perpetrated it etc. Two guys initially arrested, but only one actual shooter. The US media got it mixed up, calling the shooter of Mediterranean descent (he was Canadian-born Quebecer) and Trudeau asked them to apologize.

So Donald Trump may not be too far off when he suggests the media is 100% truthful or accurate. Not trying to make light of what happened in Quebec but it would b interesting to know how often the media just has it wrong.
