Who works while traveling? There are some good tips here for working while you travel:

Some of the best tips:

-Use Evernote to keep track of everything
-Write when you don't have wifi access (like on the plane)
-Try a mobile coworking space like Copass

I've done lots of working while traveling... one thing I'd like to do more of is to take advantage of the fact that I can work anywhere. Instead of being stuck in the home office all the time, I'd like to try different spots for working, or even just take off for a working weekend somewhere new and exciting. Work during the day, explore in the evenings.

I usually take my laptop and it never comes out of the bag. Something about traveling and working doesn't seem to mix for me. Though I am usually traveling with kids so that makes it kind of impossible.

That's too bad. Maybe you could take advantage of places that have stuff for kids to do and get your work done at the same time?

I've tried that but it's still very chopped up work. I prefer long blocks of time when I can get things done, then when I am with the kids I don't have to think about it. The odd time I will do work around them, but it's only to finish something up. That reminds me - I have unfinished work from today!

The odd time I work while traveling I try to keep it to a minimum. I might take a conference call or answer an email, but that is pretty much it.
