D.B. Cooper
Do you have any ideas about who D.B. Cooper was?
If you're not familiar with the case, you can read about it here: http://www.citizensleuths.com/
In short, a guy calling himself Dan Cooper hijacked a plane out of Seattle on Thanksgiving weekend in 1971, collected ransom, ordered the plane be flown to Mexico, then jumped out somewhere over Washington State. New evidence has come to light (trace particles on a tie he left behind on the plane) that he probably worked as an engineer or executive in metal manufacturing or the aerospace industry. For other reasons, they think he may have been Canadian. This narrows it down a whole lot!
There were only around 50 employees at Boeing in Manitoba in 1971. Surely someone recognizes D.B. Cooper as their dad or grandfather... who was gone Thanksgiving weekend and came home with $200,000 in a knapsack? This of course is if he survived the jump, which is debatable.

Re: D.B. Cooper
I've heard of this story before and I think it'll forever stay one of those stories of which we'll never know the complete truth.
For all we know, Dan Cooper is out there right now under a different identity. Maybe someone else found the knapsack and kept it.
We'll never know what happened and that's the beauty of mystery.

Re: D.B. Cooper
Yes I imagine he got away with it this long.. It will remain a secret. Though would be nice to know who he was at least. It was quite the crime he pulled off.
Re: D.B. Cooper
Mystery crimes which have never been solved always captivate me.
I don't know what it is about them but I can never seem to ignore them.
I just love reading every single detail and trying to figure out how this person was thinking and how he or she could've escaped without a trace (although I'll never solve a case, if the police can't then I certainly can't)
There are some great stories out there if you're interested!
I also enjoy watching series about convicts who ALMOST got away with a crime. If you're interested in this you can search up 'I almost got away with it'.

Re: D.B. Cooper
I'd never heard of that series it looks good, I will check it out. I like to watch shows like Dateline, but they are all about the criminals who got caught. One that still bothers me is the JonBenet case too.
Re: D.B. Cooper
The latest series regarding the JonBenet case I found very interesting. I'm not sure what I believe after watching them. At the end of the day we lost a little girl which is very sad.

Re: D.B. Cooper
I have the unpopular opinion that the family was not involved. Or at least that they deserve the benefit of the doubt.
Re: D.B. Cooper
no matter what side you choose in this case there will be the opposite view. I find it very hard to not be swayed by the recent television updates that the brother and thus the family were not involved to some extent. At least that's the picture that was painted in my opinion
